About Us

WMVFD Old PhotoThe West Middletown Volunteer Fire Department is a rural fire department located in Southwest PA. We serve an area of approximately 21 square miles including sections of State Routes 844 and 331. Our department was formed in 1952 and has been in continual service ever since. The members of WMVFD boast long tenure in the fire service with some of our members serving for over 40 years. We are an ever growing department. In 2014, we obtained our first brand new engine (pumper) since 1984. We were able to get this truck because of community support. In 2016, we broke ground for our new station. We have occupied the current station since the 60’s. We are able to embark on this journey, once again due to the support of our community. We are equipped for firefighting, vehicle rescue and medical calls. Many of our members have had or do have EMT certifications.
